SplitBill uses an optimized debt simplification algorithm. When expenses are added to a trip, the matrix calculates who paid and who owes, minimizing the total number of transactions needed to settle all debts.
Every registered SplitBill user has a unique Internal ID (e.g., SB-A1B2C3) visible on their profile. Enter their ID in the workspace or trip invite field to send an instant invitation with live notifications.
Closing a trip locks all expenses, splits, and recorded settlements into read-only mode to prevent modifications. You can still view overview statistics and export PDF or CSV reports anytime.
Yes! Open the Expenses tab on any trip detail page and click the Export dropdown to download a high-resolution PDF statement or an Excel-compatible CSV file.
